Replacing the Feed Block
Modified on: Wed, 7 Mar, 2018 at 2:36 PM
The feed block is the milled aluminum piece that sits atop the extruder assembly. The filament enters the hole in the top of the feed block and is pressed against the drive gear to force the plastic down through the hot end and onto the build plate.
If you’ve removed yours, check to make sure you have all the parts in order and rest the block in place on your extruder assembly, between the fan and motor. Compress the spring and align the holes, then use your 2.5mm Allen wrench to tightening the two screws through the holes in the fan, highlighted in pink.
